Teen Fashion Design Camp: June 5th - June 19th, 2026

This is a 4-week introductory machine sewing course for Teens (ages 12-18) that will be held in our sewing area at Community on Friday Evenings with a maximum class size of 6 students.

Students will learn to create a custom garment from a pattern. This course will cover how fabric choice, pattern manipulation, and trims/embellishments can change the final design. Students will further develop their construction techniques, create a new garment, and further advance their overall sewing skills.

Supplies are not included in the price of the course. **You are responsible for bringing your own sewing machine and supplies.** You will receive a supply list at least from the instructor at least five days before the course begins.

Your sewing machine needs to have the following functions: Straight stitch and zig zag stitch, ability to adjust stitch length and width, and thread tension.

About the Instructor:

Tabitha Fielteau is a womenswear and bridal designer with experience ranging from custom bridal gowns to motorcycle gear through her two unique brands. She is passionate about sharing her extensive knowledge with students while continuing to grow and refine her craft. Tabitha enjoys creating garments from concept to completion and is on a continual journey toward mastering the art of fashion design. When she’s not designing in her downtown Athens studio, she can be found riding motorcycles with her husband, taking Latin dance classes, or enjoying movie nights with her family. For cancellations, you will receive a 75% refund until seven days before the beginning of the course. Cancellation seven days or less before the course results in a refund of 25% of the workshop cost.  No refunds will be issued on the day the course begins or after the course has begun.
