House Matches

STATE, based in Athens, GA, is known for their love of color and pattern, and hand painted textiles that bring elements of art into your home.

These little houses started as a 3D model made from a cut up cereal box, and each side was hand painted at a kitchen table – you can even see the  brushstrokes! The sliding drawer holds 100 4" matches (with colorful match heads, of course!), and two strikers on the back side give you ample firing power. Pro tip: when the matches run out, just replace them with other 4" matches!
