Beginner II Sewing Course: The Gathered Dress October 26th - November 16th

This is a 4-week sewing course that will be held in our sewing area at Community on Thursday evenings with a maximum class size of 6 students.

While this is a beginners level class, students are required to have a basic understanding of how to use their sewing machine and be able to sew a straight line. The teacher will guide them through the process of making a dress (with pockets!) using the Collage Gather Dress Pattern by Matchy Matchy Sewing Club. The pattern price is included in the cost of the class and you will be able to download the file on your own after class. Fabric and other supplies are not included in the price of the course. **You are responsible for bringing your own sewing machine and supplies.** You will receive a supply list at least from the instructor at least five days before the course begins.

The instructor, Maddie Arena, works at Community as an alterations seamstress. She has been sewing for almost 20 years and has previously worked as a costume designer and technician. She loves nothing more than sharing her love of sewing to anyone she meets!

This is a four week course and includes the following dates;

Thursday, November 2nd, 6:30 pm  - 8:30 pm
Thursday, November 9th, 6:30 pm  - 8:30 pm
Thursday, November 16th, 6:30 pm  - 8:30 pm

For cancellations, you will receive a full refund until seven days before the workshop. Cancellation seven days or less before the workshop, results in a refund of 70% of the workshop cost.  No refunds will be issued after the course has begun.
