Regular price Sale price $75.00 USD

This is a 3-week introductory embroidery course that will be held in our sewing area at Community after store hours with a maximum class size of 10 students.

This course is for beginners who want to learn embroidery by hand. Participants will learn the ins and outs of hand embroidery, from identifying materials to finishing their hoop. Using a pre-made design, participants will learn several stitches that come together to create a beautiful hoop.

Supplies are not included in the price of the course. You are responsible for bringing your own supplies. You will receive a supply list from the instructor at least five days before the course begins.

The teacher, Gabriella Victorio, began sewing as a child with instruction from her grandmother. Gabriella's personal interest has turned sewing into a useful skill, and she enjoys redesigning thrifted clothing by adding hand embroidery designs to them. Gabriella received a BA in Art History from the University of Georgia and is currently working towards an MA in Arts Education. She has worked as a counselor and teacher for several years at YMCA, Hillside Elementary School, and most recently at the Georgia Museum of Art.

Please note: Due to space restrictions we are requiring face masks to be worn during the class.
