Working with Digital Patterns - August 16th, 2026
Confused by sewing patterns? This beginner-friendly class will walk you through everything you need to confidently work with digital patterns. Learn where to find great patterns, how to print and assemble PDF patterns, and how to use features like layers for a customized experience.
We’ll cover how to choose the right size using finished garment measurements, make common pattern adjustments (like grading between sizes and adjusting length), and decode all those mysterious symbols and markings, like grainlines, notches, darts, and more.
You’ll also learn which markings actually matter, how to transfer them accurately to fabric, and how to identify right vs. wrong sides of both pattern pieces and fabric. By the end of class, you’ll feel empowered to approach any sewing pattern with clarity and confidence.
